Philosophy, Vision & Mission

"Guided by the founding vision of Hyunsong Chu Chang-kyun, the Hyunsong Educational & Cultural Foundation establishes"

and carries out its vision and mission based on the following philosophy, with talent development, our hope and purpose, at its core.

    Philosophy

    Philosophy is the guiding principle that defines the Foundation’s direction and reflects its perspective and the path it seeks to pursue.
    Nurturing, supporting, and advancing future generations to contribute to the development of the nation and its people must be the core of the Foundation’s philosophy.
    To this end, the Foundation should embrace a values-driven philosophy that understands global trends shaping the future of humanity and leads innovation in education.

    Vision

    Vision refers to the Foundation’s future outlook, plans, and aspirations.
    It is a focused expression of the Foundation’s philosophy and should reflect the universal spirit of the times without distorting the founding vision and intent of the Foundation.
    The Foundation envisions cultivating individuals capable of creative thinking and generating new values required by a future society, while responding to changes in the industrial landscape and advances in academic research.
    Through these efforts, the Foundation seeks to contribute to the development of the nation and its people and, ultimately, to the advancement and peace of human civilization.

    Mission

    The mission defines the Foundation’s mandate and outlines the essential actions required to achieve its vision effectively.
    Through its scholarship programs and talent development initiatives, the Foundation provides equal access to educational opportunities for all students.
    To this end, the Foundation carries out programs to cultivate talent in engineering, natural sciences, humanities, social sciences, and sports, enabling them to contribute to national development and the building of a strong and prosperous nation.
